SwiftIRC support center

SwiftIRC provides a number of methods for users to get help. The main ways of obtaining support are via the forum, the help channel, and via support tickets. Each category is detailed below.


The SwiftIRC forum provides an excellent form of support. Different boards are appropriate for different queries:

General help: The help board provides help for all general IRC/SwiftIRC queries and should be used if your query fits in to no other category.

Please note that you will need to register an account on the forum before you will be able to post.

Help channel - #IRCHelp

#IRCHelp is the official SwiftIRC help channel. Users can join this channel and ask any question related to using the network.

To join the help channel, execute the command "/join #irchelp" in your IRC client.

Support channel - #Support

#Support is the official SwiftIRC support channel. This channel is available for users needing intervention or assistance from network staff. While support staff will respond to most queries, they can elevate issues to IRC operators and network administrators as appropriate.

To obtain support via the SwiftIRC support channel, execute the command "/join #support" in your IRC client, and then wait for a member of the support staff to be assigned to you.

Support tickets

Support tickets should be used for any query relating to a ban from the network or an official SwiftIRC channel. If you are banned from a regular channel, you should contact that channel's owner or staff.
